Just to clarify, I absolutely loved the awards section of Steemfest and am so grateful for being honoured with a win. I believe it's very much about the recognition we authors get as a lot of effort goes into all the great posts being selected for potential candidacy. That is considered a very big deal to us all and I think it's a great idea to carry on the GSA into future events. Expanding the awards to cover other popular subject matter on Steemit also seems like a postive step in the right direction.
