Perhaps it's like a postpartum depression (though I've never really experienced that), except for the hormone rush. I think we were giving birth to something even deeper than any of us even knew existed. Interesting how many are writing about it. Was an incredible experience all around -- even going through the blues afterward. We just need to harness all that energy and do something positive with it! Glad to have you here on my post. You're welcome. Yes, that's a great analogy. I was surprised by the number of people who're sharing the same feelings after the 'Fest. I felt like I found the place I belong last weekend, that's the only words I can use to describe it. It'll be interesting to see where it all goes from here.
I call that "home"--where our people are! @saramiller and I are sitting across the desk from one another dreaming up ways to amplify and integrate the power of the Steemfest weekend. Dreams are helping us get over the melancholy. So much to process!
I agree, our tribe! Yes, I'm starting a campaign on my outside social media pages to try to recruit new users. The next step will be to try to getting the interest of PBS or CBS Sunday Morning. I am kind of leery of MSM but those outlets might have audiences that are more in alignment with our values.
I'm super intrigued by the caliber of people I met at Steemfest. It's so great that we all felt so connected, which isn't a common occurrence in most any scenario. I'll be interested to see where you efforts lead. Our enthusiasm for Steemit is contagious. We're doing it!!!
