Money , Power or Peace
When a person is born, they have nothing. When they die, they still have nothing, except for the actions they did in this world. And a person's life is like a book, where all their good and bad deeds are written. This book determines their next life.
This life in world is just a game and a spectacle. Its pleasures can mislead humans and distract them from the right path.
My topic today is about the aspects of life that require balance. Money, power, and peace are the three things that I will be discussing in details.
Money is like fuel to survive in this world. But in today's life, it has become so important that whoever has money owns the world. In the past, people used to live without money and used to exchange goods with goods instead of using money. They used to manage their lives without the involvement of money.
After that, people continued to exchange goods and services with gold, silver, and other precious items. But this sequence has reached paper currency, which is now taking the form of virtual (digital) currency.
To survive in this world, humans need some basic necessities, for which they work hard. I have already mentioned this in my post, which I am updating here with details . We keep increasing our desires to such an extent that we don't even think about whether the money we earn is halal (permissible) or haram (forbidden). And in the hereafter, we will be questioned about every single blessing that Allah has bestowed upon us, along with our actions.
"A small example, to join the world of Steemit and post in a community, we first need to read their rules carefully and follow those rules to share our post, only then can we be considered verified users. Similarly, in life, there are some rules that we should follow to be considered genuine. Think, are we verified users in the real world?"
Not everyone is the same. Some people only try to earn money through positive means. But some people are so desperate to achieve their desires that they don't care who they're hurting. This is how crime rates increase. And crimes are of various types, from theft to murder. And you all know that modern thieves, who we call hackers, steal people's hard-earned money through digital means. But they don't know that every single one of their actions is being written in a book, and they will be held accountable for it. And they will also be punished.
Therefore, we should limit our desires and earn money through legitimate means. And we should not do anything that would make us ashamed in the hereafter.
Power is something that gives one person an advantage over another. If its usage is positive, it can bring happiness and peace to the world. But the biggest problem is that people only use power to achieve their personal goals, not for the betterment of humanity. There are many types of power. If we look at small things, a small clerk in a government office can be an example. If he works positively, he can help people and make their work easier.
But corruption and greed prevent him from performing his duties properly. And corrupt officials ask people for money (bribes) to move their applications forward. People don't want to join government services to help others, but to earn money. And another injustice is that people are asked for bribes instead of merit to join in corrupt government services.
A small example of the misuse of power is related to Steemit. In 2020, Bullionstackers was given a large amount of steem delegation. To increase engagement on Steemit, he voted for his own accounts. After that, a complaint was filed against him, and as a result, his delegation was removed. From this, we can understand what happens when power is misused for personal gain.
Remember if you are gifted with power, its positive or negative use depends on you. If you use your power for the betterment of people, you will be remembered positively in this world and the hereafter.
Let's dive into the realm of peace! I'll break it down into two fascinating categories: outer peace and inner peace. Did you know that the world's peace is constantly evolving due to the dynamic duo of money and power? People are increasingly prioritizing these two factors to achieve peace, believing they hold the key to unlocking serenity. I'll refer to this as outer peace - a state that can be attained through the pleasures and delights of the world. Some People don't hesitate to go to any lengths to achieve worldly peace.
But, my friend, there's more to peace than meets the eye...
True peace is inner peace, which can be attained through small good deeds. For instance, helping someone on the road and bringing a smile to their face with your small act. (My next article will be on kindness and charity). Apart from this, to achieve inner peace, we must follow all the rules that the Creator of the universe has taught us through His prophets to live a righteous life in this world.
Allah has bestowed upon humans the blessing of conscience, which guides us towards good and evil in every moment. But we ignore it. If we act according to our conscience, we can walk on the straight path. However, we consider worldly success more important than success in the hereafter.
Allah is very forgiving and merciful, He forgives our mistakes and guides us. We just need to repent for our sins on time.
