Writing Competition 131 "Unknown Fort" Now Known as "Pirate's Stone Island Fort"
In the heart of the endless sea, there exists a tale passed down among the fishermen—a tale of an island unlike any other. This island, though not vast, holds secrets that stretch beyond imagination.
Twelve buildings standing tall upon this mysterious stone island. The roofs were cone shape while the walls were cylindrical. The buildings had bridges to connect them like pieces of an intricate puzzle falling into place. Each cluster of buildings sits at the corners of a rectangular formation, forming a harmony geometrical shape.

Long ago, a band of daring pirates chose this very island as their haven. Their ships were crafted to perfection, allowing them to dock safely, eluding the pursuit of imposing navy vessels. It was the perfect fort for them.
Yet, challenges lay ahead. Fresh water was a luxury, and fertile land was nowhere to be found. Rainwater became their lifeline, and one ingenious pirate discovered how to turn the salty sea into a source of refreshment, quenching their thirst.
As for sustenance, the pirates had devised a unique menu. Seafood graced their tables, and even seagulls found themselves on their menu—chickens of the sky, you might say. The sea's bounty extended to seaweed, a special underwater plant that found its way to their plates. On rare occasions, they hunted whales, using their fat to create precious oil that they used to fuel their lantern at night and fire during cold seasons.
On this island, twelve pirates created their own small world. Eight resided in larger houses, while the four hobbits, their steadfast friends, inhabited smaller abodes. It's whispered that the captain's dwelling concealed the treasures amassed from their daring escapades.
As time flowed like a river, the pirates aged gracefully. The hobbits, known for their longer lives, returned to their homes with a single ring each—a token of cherished memories shared with their crewmates. The island's treasure, they say, remains hidden, guarded by a curse left by the shaman who was amongst the crew. And here's where the tale takes a twist: the rings, seemingly simple tokens, hold a deeper secret. Legends suggest that if all four rings are united, they unveil the path to break the curse that has been concealing the treasure for many years.
And so, remember this enchanting island—a realm of pirates, rings, and mysteries. This story encapsulates ingenious solutions to adapt, unbreakable bonds, and the sea's captivating allure. Who knows, perhaps one day you'll embark on your very own adventure, discovering the hidden treasures that lie beneath the surface of the waves.
