Colombian President Gustavo Petro recently went to New York for a work related to the United Nations Peace Mission. There he announced a general holiday in a press conference. Apart from government institutions, private institutions will also fall under this holiday.

In this context, Petro said, 'Colombia's national team represents unity, not conflict or polarization. The Colombian flag is also a symbol of unity. So we will celebrate a civic holiday on Monday, Victory Day.'

He also said, 'I encourage the executive committees of the various institutions to celebrate Colombian unity together with the workers. Government and private business organizations will give their employees an opportunity to be happy on this day. Let's believe that it is possible to be united.'
