my fairytale recreation

Long, long ago in a kingdom far away lived a young prince named Jack. He had an unusual love for tall tales and myths which he believed dearly, he always carried a book of mystical tales . Never did a day pass that Jack didn't read this book.

It came the time for the great town feast and the king forbade him from going. Jack couldn't miss this, he dressed up as a commoner and quietly snuck out the palace to attend the feast . No sooner had he gotten there than guards showed up, as soon as Jack saw the guards,he slipped away quietly to avoid being noticed...."what could they be doing here..." Jack thought aloud.

Jack waited rather impatiently till he couldn't see any guards, as he was about making his way to the feast. He caught a glimpse of a strange figure in the dark, walking funnily constantly glancing over it's back as if wary of something. Jack couldn't quite make out the face "it's a man, no...a dwarf... probably a little boy, ".

Jack couldn't contain his curiosity anymore, he went after the figure which bolted almost immediately, it had startled the horses in it's frantic bid to escape. "What kind of creature moves this swiftly" . Jack thought to himself as he kept running after it

Suddenly...

Jack stopped, he bent to pick up a pouch which fell from the figure, as soon as it realized this it stopped and turned around instantaneously causing the cloak to fall off and Jack took a good look "big ears....why...it's a goblin!" Jack cried out. The guards were approaching and the goblin screeched "Don't get them wet" and disappeared into the forest. Jack was delighted, he tried telling, but no one believed him.

Sad,
Jack retired to his Chambers, his curiosity set in again as he stared at the pouch which contained the beans. In a bid to clear his doubt he took one out and placed it in a cup of water. It began to sprout almost immediately. Jack stared in excitement as it grew.

it kept growing and growing lifting Jack's entire chamber as it grew, tossing him around. It suddenly stopped, Jack looked out the door "oh my!" he exclaimed. The palace was nowhere to be seen, he was high up in the sky. He decided to climb up the Beanstalk.

He got to the top and found himself in a strange land, he wandered about in excitement till he got to a massive structure. Curious as to what he might find he went in and to his astonishment.

The room was filled with gold, far more than anyone could wish for, no wonder the goblin had the beans. He couldn't wait to tell the king, he was still in dismay when he heard some strange voices and loud thuds approaching. He looked out and to his greatest surprise a giant was approaching.

He got scared and hid behind a large golden harp. The giant entered and stopped abruptly. He looked around as if searching for something. "Fee ,Fi , Fo, Fum...i smell the blood of an human" Jack heard this and got scared, he slipped on a pile of gold and accidentally struck a note on the harp. His heart skipped a beat as he looked up and saw the giant coming towards him. It's chest broad and wide, each step shook the entire place . In an instance Jack was swept off the ground, the giant picked him up effortlessly, stared at him and roared "i will grind your bones to make my bread". Jack was scared

Instantly, an idea crept into Jack's mind "O great one" Jack said "My flesh is bitter and my bones weak, I don't make a befitting meal". Jack continued "I can take you to my kingdom, there are more people there". The giant who believed he was too powerful to be harmed by Jack got greedy and agreed to follow him.

Jack was almost at the beanstalk when he decided to run, he ran as fast as his legs could carry him but it didn't take him long to realise he couldn't run away from the giant. Another idea crept in as he saw a little creek nearby, he dropped another bean into it which grew almost immediately creating a barrier between him and the giant. Jack kept running and hurriedly climbed down the first beanstalk. The giant broke free and proceeded to climb down the beanstalk but Jack whom had already gotten to the palace began screaming "cut it down, cut it down!!".

The king realising how serious Jack was ordered the beanstalk be cut down which made the giant slip and at such great height fell to the ground and died. Everyone saw this and the king realized Jack had been telling the truth all along. The king apologised and they lived happily ever after.
