Sue Facebook Token (SUFB) created on Steem Engine!
Preparations for the Class Action against Facebook & Google's Crypto Ad Ban is moving along nicely and its time for the issue of tokens sharing in the potential damages pool from the class action.
These tokens will be issued to the investors funding the class action as well as bonus tokens to people signing up as class members, JPB Liberty team members, referrers of class member signups and investors.
As a keen Steemian I had been holding off on issuing ERC20 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain, hoping that an easier, Steem based option would become available.
And thanks to @aggroed, @yabapmatt & @harpagon it has!
Steem Engine allows easy creation and issue of tokens and has all the advantages of the Steem blockchain - easy to remember user names, fast free transactions, superior security with multiple level keys (posting, active, master) and a great community.
All in all a much easier onboarding and use process than ERC20 tokens.
Also quite a lot of the class member signups are Steemians so it will be very easy for these people to receive their SUFB tokens.
Another great thing is that JPB Liberty will be bringing a lot of new users to Steem because people will need to get a Steem account to get their SUFB Tokens.
I'll also be letting them know about all the other great things they can do on Steem, from blogging to Steem Monsters.
I'm very excited to finally be able to issue the SUFB tokens.

I think with the new Partiko app update you can convert Partiko points to Steem Engine Points.
Steem Engine points and Smart media Tokens are two different things right?

Yes. SMTs are supposed to have extra functionality and flexibility, but they are long promised and won’t be delivered for ages.
The Steem Engine tokens have the basic functionality @jpbliberty needed. They are true Crypto tokens not just points as they are locked into the Steem blockchain.
I suspect most other DApps don’t need the extra bells and whistles of SMT’s either.
