Waiting for a steemit account be like:
I got alot of guys from Facebook waiting to migrate. One week waiting period makes steemit look like a low performance platform which it isnt.
Maybe we can change this with promotion codes for exisiting accounts (with a high reputation).
But on the other hand: Patience is a virtue.

Many people expected online platforms being free of charge (if you not paying for it you are not the customer but the product being sold)

My first account took minutes. my second longer. steemit grows exponentially. staff doesnt. my guess.
Seems pretty reasonable.
