Steem Price WTF?!steemCreated with Sketch.

in #steememe7 years ago (edited)

Today it seems it's very trending to contemplate on the price of steem with some screenshots. From minnows to whales the latest trend is to put a screenshot of a marketplace and watch the payouts rain.
Anyway, steem price is back again around 0.16 cents, but the steem dollar is rising way above 1 actual dollar, and yeah we hit 150 000 accounts on Steemit, too bad less than 10% of them are active users.
Steemit is in a really strange state right now. I never miss an opportunity to meme it.

Steem is currently still over $.22. Looking at the internal market perhaps?

The internal market is priced in terms of SBD, so any time SBD pumps (like today), the price of steem will be inversly low, and vice versa.

Thank you! I never understand what happens, now it becomes a little bit more clear.

Yes the internal market is a reflection of the price of steem in SBD terms. So, when SBD is high the steem price will be low and when SBD is low, steem will be high. Does that make sense at all? When SBD is at parity ($1.00), steem will be the same price as the external market prices.

Now the last uncertainty is gone, great!

0.16. I have checked.
