Introduction

Steem Dunk has been getting a lot of attention lately since the announcement of becoming open source, very exciting! We are an automated curation platform. This means the bot will upvote your favorite author's article for you, on your behalf. Why would you do this? To help earn curation rewards and to show support to your favorite authors.

The bot has over 3000 Steem power that is being utilized for automatically voting your content!! This will give all of our users the boost they deserve. There have been minor adjustments prior to the previous announcement.

Security awareness

During the account authorization we will ask for your active or password key once. This allows us to vote on your behalf without storing your private keys. We will NEVER store your private keys!

If you're paranoid, please use steempy on the terminal. Steempy allows you to manually authorize the account. There is an installation guide here if you need to install it.

Authorization command:

steempy allow steemdunk --account <your account here without the brackets>

An important issue for new users was fixed

For those of you who signed up from three days prior from now, you may have noticed you weren't able to set Steemdunk to allow voting on your posts. This issue has been resolved!

Setting up auto votes

Simply log into https://steemdunk.xyz and the option will be available on the home page. Check off the box and hit update! Right now the bot is upvoting at 100% until more users opt in. When more users opt in the voting power will be dropped to 25%. Get in while you can, supervotes won't last forever! Votes will still go around voting four random users every 2.4 hours giving our users a boost. Voting power and the amount of users voted in a cycle will be adjusted as necessary as more voting power gets used and the bot gets strengthened.
