This is a small update to notify of @steemdunk's intentions and future plans. The self promotion requirement is now completely eliminated. Originally, the use of this is to cover hosting costs and this rule has been in effect for the past few posts. Steemdunk received a massive shift in popularity (including some larger users!) so it's time for a change of plans.

Development updates will be posted through @utopian-io by @samrg472 for the developers that are interested. A corresponding official post will be on @steemdunk for the majority of our members. With that in mind, self-promotion will no longer be necessary, allowing votes to naturally flow to @steemdunk's posts. If you'd still like to show your support for @steemdunk, then add a rule to the curation list.

I intend to start posting smaller updates rather than 1 very large update. This should hopefully keep the community more informed and help show that Steemdunk is very active in its development and progress.

The bot supports free upvotes to support the community and paid upvotes for instant boosts. The goal is to increase the voting power of the bot in order to serve more users and help the community. Right now we suffer from a lack of voting power, which hinders our ability to serve greater payouts. The intent of keeping free upvotes still remains.

Delegators will receive a portion of the reward pool from paid upvotes. 75% of the reward pool is paid to delegators (in the future, this will increase as we get more steem power). The more steem power delegated, the greater portion of the reward pool you will receive. This can be great as a passive income. When a delegation is started, after 1 payment cycle (24 hours) is when you'll start receiving payouts.

Replace "YOURNAMEHERE" with your account name and replace "vesting_shares" with the amount you'd like to delegate. As soon as the operation is broadcasted, you will be automatically registered as a sponsor and will start receiving payouts during the next payout cycle.

Currently, sponsors are not yet displayed on the website, but that is planned for the near future. The necessary stats will be displayed to the user.
