Deer meat is being sold continuously in the villages of Munshiganj, Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira, Kachhali Vetkhali, Jatindar Nagar, Maragasangha Union villages. This trend is increasing day by day.

But forest department claims that their campaign against the hunters continues.

Locals complain that there is a list of deer hunters and meat traders, but no action is taken against those hunters and businesses. There are allegations that these hunter-gatherers and meat traders, especially managing the forest department and police administration, are doing business. And due to these reasons the administration pretends not to see it.

According to the police, the Sundarbans deer is ending today due to the scandal and jail bavaliis in the prohibited sanctuaries area of ​​Sunderbans by some unauthorized officials of forest department.

Many people, who are reluctant to disclose the name, said that the local millionaire shrimp trader Sattar Morro is the Godfather of the Deer Hunters of the Sundarbans. Often he goes out hunting his dears in the Sundarbans with his own trawler.

As well as the deer hunters were arrested, they took all the responsibilities to bring them out.

On July 9, a hunter-gatherer hunting a deer in the Sundarban's Chunkudi area led by Sattar Morol. Satkhira Shyamnagar Police Station Sub-inspector and some police constables were also with them.

After getting information about the forest department and coastguard, they detained them with three deer hunting, three weapons. Later, the millionaire Sattar Moral and police members were released. But after the incident spread through different media and social media, the police recorded the case with Shyamnagar Police Station in the name of 6 people including Sattar Morrall.

Satkhira Range Officer GM Rafiq Ahmed said that no one takes any excuse from forest department. If there is any such evidence, then action will be taken against them. The patrolling of the Sundarbans has been strengthened so that deer hunters can not get away.

Recently, on the basis of secret information, some raiders were arrested in the Sundarbans, a boat, three dead deer, three guns and two deer hunters, armed police from Shyamnagar Police station. The police said that they were released after the CC and Sejhar list of their operation.
