First let me explain how the splitting works ,at first it was kind of difficult but now its different

we have three sections on steemit

STEEM

steem is the crypto currency used on the steem block-chain, its also the cypto that is converted from steem to steem power , 1 steem would give you 1 steem power therefore the ratio for steem to steem power is 1:1

STEEM POWER

Is the crypto currency steem that has been looked for a period of time , basicly this is what give one so much influence on the steemit platform, the more steemyou lock the greater your influence ,
to convert steempower to steem one can only power down once every 13 weeks, which i find quite great because it gives confidence to investors.

STEEM DOLLAR

Steem dollar is the one that is most interesting since its pegged to the $ and at the same time its not lets say for example
some very nice people upvoted your content ad you got 100$. 25% = 25$ will go to curators (those who upvoted you) the rest 75$ = 75% is what you remain with if your reward default was set power up 100% when posting then everything will just go to steempower when you get paid.

if default is 50/50 the 75 that reamains will be split in to 2

37.5 will bedivided with the current price of steem and depending with the answer that steem will the be added to your steem power the rest 37.5 will be your steem dollar (SBD) that will also be sold with its current value in the market and that is what you can cash out.

Decline payout is mostly used by those who biuld the platform
