RE: Announcing Steemify. A dedicated notification app.

in #steemdev7 years ago (edited)

This seems interesting, but is it really viable?
Imagine some big steemian like @exyle, one of your teammate, using this app. The amount of notifications would turn him crazy! Would it be possible to instead condense/stack the notifications into upvotes, replies, and transfers?

Sort:

@sqamemal yes, actually, @exyle is using the app right now and providing us with valuable feedback. The system is designed in such a way that you can subscribe to notification topics. We are currently working on the front-end to configure this, but you will be able to set everything up the way you want. If, for example, @exyle only wants to get notifications of replies to his own posts, he can configure this in the app.

That's pretty convenient for the end-user, definitely looking forward to use this app in the future!

Wondering if you’re getting a notification 5 months later?

Well, I don't use steemify because there is no andorid version for me to use yet.
I use steemd.com/@sqamemal to see if I have any replies, comments, or transfers.
