Looking forward to seeing more about this as it develops...it would be nice if it were highly customizable as the sheer number of notifications generated by an active Steemian with a large following would be staggering. Whether you have considered this, or not, something along the lines of Facebook's ability to place friends into "groups" might be a useful feature.

Thanks for your feedback. You’ll be able to add specific users you want to receive notifications for, and also specify the exact type of notifications you’d want to receive for that user. I believe @exyle is a pretty good testcase to fine tune the settings we want to have in the final version.
