Was the noise and cheering too much for her? Sometimes babies don't like crowd noises, unless they're reincarnated football players.
Little bit of advice: Don't take babies and small children to fireworks displays in stadiums -- the noise is not only deafening, but can be terrifying for little ones. And it takes a while to get out of there. Outdoor fireworks displays from a distance are a better bet, and easy to escape from if it's not going well.
Just my two cents. :-)
We have avoided fireworks displays. I didn't think about crowd noises and cheering because I don't normally go to those types of events. She did pretty well though.
