"The Father himself loves you"

God bless you greatly brothers of steemchurch, the peace of God be with all your people, Amen.

Malachi 1:2

"I have loved you, says the Lord; and you said: In what did you love us?"

Like the Israelites, sometimes we also face the issue of God's love with some doubts or suspicions. Some of us think "if the Lord has truly loved me I would have answered my prayer or I would not have allowed this or that to happen to me". If some personal expectations are not met then this may have a negative impact on the way some people see God and His love. However, regardless of the opinion that people may have is the opinion of God, as it is in the Scriptures, it is the truth and the only one that really matters. It is precisely that opinion that we want to study today.

“This is the love of God that has manifested itself to us”

The Word of God, the only truth, contains many passages that make clear the love that God has for us so starting in 1 John 4:8-10

“GOD IS LOVE”

The mere definition of God is: LOVE.

“In this, God's love for us was shown, in which God sent his only begotten Son into the world, so that we might live by him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son in propitiation for our sins.”

The very definition of God is: love and this love has shown it in the most open and clear way: even though we do not love Him, He loved us and gave His only son in propitiation for our sins. Today we can have a relationship with Him, and this was made possible only by His love with which He did not even deny His Son to make this possible.

1 Juan 3:16

“In this we have known love, in which he laid down his life for us”

The love of God is neither theoretical nor rhetorical. It is real! It cost the Blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God without sin. That blood was shed for you, for me and anyone on this earth. As The Lord said in another point:

Juan 15:13

“Nobody has greater love than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”

"However, the Lord did not do this only. He did not offer His life for people who were already friends with God. It went beyond that: he did it for the people "who were still sinful”.

Romanos 5:5-11

“and hope does not embarrass; because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit that was given to us. Because Christ, when we were still weak, died in time for the ungodly. Certainly, hardly any will die for a just one; However, it could be that someone dared to die for the good. But God shows his love for us, in that while still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more, being already justified in his blood, we will be saved from wrath by him. Because if being enemies, we were reconciled with God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life. And not only this, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.”

t takes a lot of love to die for a good man. Very few would. Imagine how much love is needed to die for sinners and ungodly. And that is exactly what God did through the sacrifice of His Son. He gave himself for us, sinners, whom he loved as much as he liked.

"See what love the Father has given us "

1 Juan 3:1

“See what love the Father has given us, so that we may be called children of God; This is why the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”

We are Children of God. We are from His house (Ephesians 2:19), members of His own family. If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and His resurrection from the dead (Romans 10: 9) then God is your Father. "See what love the Father has given us, so that we may be called children of God; This is why the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. "Of death, born again. From children of anger, to beloved children that nothing can separate them from His love. Yes, now speaking to the Lord you can use the new term that His love made possible and legitimate for us to use: call him FATHER.

"The Father himself loves you”

Juan 16:27

“for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and you have believed that I came from God”

Juan 14:21-23

“He who has my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me; and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Judas (not Iscariot) said to him: Lord, how is it that you will manifest to us, and not to the world? Jesus answered and said to him: Whoever loves me will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him.”

If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God has been poured out in your heart by the Holy Spirit , GOD LOVES YOU.
