Text:Psalms 11:3

There is nothing a good person can do when everything falls apart
(Good News translation)

Our lives can be likened to a house; the kind of foundation we lay is what determines how well we will be able to withstand the stormy days. The same goes for your children and every person you have some sort of influence over. They can be taught right from the word “go”. Imagine you are building a new home. One of the first things you will most likely do is to identify a floor plan, or blueprint, for the home you would like to build. As you identify the “right” blueprint, you would probably consider what your needs are (for example, how many bedrooms and bathrooms you need, how many square feet you would like, and so on). When it comes to building a life of purpose, your life vision is your blueprint. Your life vision must be taken into account what the needs of the world are, what your gifts and talents are, and what "could" and "should" be as you live the life God has created you to live. Do you have this blueprint? If so, you are about to start building your life!

The first step in any good project is to begin with a firm, strong foundation on which to build. In living the life God created you to lead, it's important to start with a strong foundation as well. I call this your "Life Purpose Foundation". It is the structural basis on which you build your exceptional life. Your life purpose foundation includes important life components such as: a Strong spiritual life, good physical care, mental and emotional health and healthy and supportive relationships. The templates for these are only found in God's word.

It is critical that this strong foundation is in place before you start to execute the plan to live your life's purpose. You may wonder why you need to take the pain to start right. The bible tells us this principle very aptly in the parable of the two builders in Matthew 7:24; one was wise and built on a rock while the other was foolish and built on sand. The interesting thing is that the same storm came against both houses but there were different results. You must understand that life will bring what it pleases and will not ask you whether you are ready or not but, so it matters much how well you foundation is standing. The same way houses collapse that is the same way lives, businesses and character collapse due to weak and faulty foundations.

This day that God has blessed, may I ask how you are laying or have laid your foundation. Whether you like it or not evil days will come and strong winds will blow but the life built solidly upon God's word will prevail.

Sort:

Our faith can be likened to a house. When it is built on a solid foundation, it can overcome whatever storm that comes it's way. Let us continue to do things that will aid in strengthing our figurative foundation.

Laying a good foundation is one of the greatest thing any man can do for himself and his family. God did laid a good foundation when he created every beautiful and loving creature. Foundation is a principle thing we can do anything successful without it. Thanks for the beautiful points you raised.

In Luke 6, Jesus explains the difference between a wise builder and a foolish one. A builder who is wise hears the Word of God, applies it to his life, and as a result, stands firmly through turbulent times. However, because the foolish builder doesn’t obey or apply God’s principles and instructions, he’s ruined when a raging storm hits his life.

Any architect or engineer knows that a solid foundation is essential to any building. Once the foundation is laid, supports are put in, permitting the rest of the structure to be built.

“I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built. But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house right on the ground, without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.” Luke 6:47-49 (NLT)

Let us build a solid foundation in Christ like the wise builder and not the foolish builder that lays foundation on sand

What a wonderful presentation. The way you lay your bed so also the way you lie on it. As a christain we need to follow a good foundation. Jesus layed a good foundation fior us to follow as a christain. Let us live with it.

In all walks of life foundations are very important. They determine how well we stand in times of adversity; in times when things do not work out the way we think they should. For the Christian it is vital that we build our lives on the foundations of the Christian Faith, the teachings of Jesus and of the apostles and prophets.
Proverb 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
