THE MYSTERY OF BONDSERVANTHOOD

Philippians 2:6
"who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,"

Philippians 2:7
"but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men."

Looking closely at the verse 6,it begins with an interogative pronoun, which is to say, someone is been talked about.

Example :This is the woman, who came here this morning.
The "who" in the above sentence is talking about the woman right?

Follow carefully, we are doing biblical English language.

For us to understand the import of verse 6,lets move up to verse 5.

Philippians 2:5
"Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,"
The semicolon in the verse 5 also connects 5 to verse 6,this is because a semicolon actually explains the proceeding sentence.

The Bible says," Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus "
Meaning, Christ Jesus had a certain mentality right?

Jesus is God. And most ministers have already done justice to the Divine Life, so am free now, the verse 6 actually explains verse 5.

Philippians 2:6
Who (Jesus), being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God. We are doing biblical English language, I zoom in.

So it means that it will read like this :
*Philippians 2:5,Let this mind be in you, which was also in Jesus.
*who (Jesus), being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.
*Philippians 2:7,But made himself (Jesus) of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.

The Bible "Let this mind be in you* was also * in Christ Jesus "
Now, what was that mind kraa that Jesus had.

Ask your neighbour "what mind " is that ?
Jesus brought a certain mentality to the earth
In His earth walk, He had a certain mentality.

His mind was tune to a certain direction
This mentality is the mentality of "Humility "

The highest authority in the universe is God
The" second highest " is man
The "lowest " is a slave

Jesus who was Divine (God) dropped all these levels to the "last level "
Jesus emptied Himself of the state that He was and took on the form of a slave (bondservant )

Leave all your glory, and come down to the lowest?
We all want to out live the Divine Life
We all want to manifest the Divine Life
We all want to taste the Divine Life in practical terms
We all want to enjoy the Divine Life

But people of God, one of the keys to unlock the Divine Life is *Humility *.
It takes an emptiness of oneself to express the Divine Life.!
The Divine Life begins with a servanthood mentality!

Anybody who is full of himself cannot express the Divine life
The degree to which you humble yourself is the same degree to which you will be exalted
Jesus humbled Himself from the upper level to the lowest level.

Now, every cause has an effect right?
In verse 7and 8we see the 7 fold humiliation of Jesus

But in verse 9 to 11,we see a 7 fold exaltation.
People of God, to be able to express this Divine Life, we ought to have a certain kind of mentality.
The humility mentality, because Jesus is our example

*John 13:15 *, I have set an example for you, so that you may do as I have done to you. Have the mentality of a bondservant!
A bondservant doesn't have his or own will.
