THE ENVY

Envy is a negative and very harmful feeling for the human being since it causes disgust or anger for the good of others.

There are many causes that can cause this bad feeling, because some people think that only a person who is beautiful has wealth titles or many possessions can be envied and in many cases it is like that but also someone can feel envy for someone who is of good heart kind cheerful with extraordinary talents and gifts of grace of good values ​​among others.

The Bible tells us a very moving story about Abel and Cain who were brothers and Abel was of good heart and pleased God in everything and God blessed him in everything and this greatly angered Cain, because he felt envious.

Genesis 4: 5
but Cain and his offering did not look pleased. And Cain became very angry and his countenance was demolished. (RNV)

This verse argues that God looked forward to the offering that Abel offered as he made him happy at heart and sought the best to offer to God while Cain offered in a bad way and always looked for the perniquebrated sheep and this did not please God.

Cain's offering obviously did not please God however God blessed Abel every day because he was pleased with his offering and this greatly annoyed Cain, for the verse says that Cain's character changed and became an angry bitter character and his character was demolished because he was full of envy.

Envy mutes the soul saddens it and dries it filling it with hatred and resentment.
For this reason we must avoid this feeling since it does not come from God and this really is against the holy spirit.

We all know how Cain ended up who day by day was filled with resentment and anger and nourishment his soul so much hate that killed his brother Abel, because the envious ends very badly.
