ENVY!!! The Fourth Deadly sin!
Greetings my brethren of the steemchurch, I will continue today with my posts about the seven deadly sins. For today, I would be talking about the fourth deadly sin. The sin of Envy is as deadly as the other sins.
This is because it stems from the fact that you desire that which you do not have and as such, you are willing to do whatever it takes to get it, or to make someone who has it to loose it in order for you to get it. An envious person is not concerned about the other person and does not care about the repercussions of his action.
Envy is an emotion which "occurs when a person lacks another's superior quality, achievement, or possession and either desires it or wishes that the other lacked it. As defined in Wikipedia, we can see that it stems from the fact that the individual lacks something, the lack is what causes a void in the person, hence causing the person to desire it from another person.
This is such a bad thing because it makes the person sad and unhappy, and as such, he wishes to pass such grief and unhappiness on others if he can't get what they possess.
The major reason why this is bad is because, no matter how much the person has, the moment he sees someone with more, he would immediately desire it and if he can't get it, he seeks to transfer the misfortune on the person.
The bible clearly warns and preached against jealousy, it is a sin that leads to back-biting, slander, gossip and covetiousness. It leads to way more atrocities than can be mentioned.
The bible tells us in the book of James that envy/ slander should not be found amongst us. This is to say that as children of God, we must avoid slandering one another, because in doing this we pass judgement on them and this is wrong as we know it.
So my fellow brethren of the #steemchurch, I implore you all, be free of the sin of Envy. Do not be envious of another's property.
Let us learn to be truly content with ourselves and in so doing the Good Lord will bless us and richly reward us in the right.

we must save ourselves from jealousy if another person .. we should respect each and every citizen every person ... God love those who love their fellow man ...
Envy is a deadly sin which often destroy our capacity to enjoy life, Envy makes you feel resentment or anger or sadness because another person has something or another person is something that you want for yourself. Envy makes you aware that another person has some advantage, some good thing, that you want for yourself and, while he’s at it, he makes you want that other person not to have it.
Do Away with Envy
Thanks for sharing this. It's so bad losing a friend to Envy. This is one quality we should do well to guard against.

Envy is very dangerous it is the drastic integral of jealousy, people should learn to have satisfaction and contentment so that jealousy will be far from them so it will not metamorphose to envy.
The sole reason for that piece of advice is because when you have this satisfaction it's next to impossible to commit the fourth dangerous sin even if you have a need we should learn to hope on God and wait for God's time because there is this saying that actually goes that says 'God's time is the best'.I can basically recall what envy has caused in the Bible and what it is unveiling in this present system we should beware.
Envy is a quality we should all avoid. We should be happy when we see others making progress around us. Thanks for sharing.
Indeed a peaceful mind leads to a healthy life. How can one have burdens on mind and leads to healthy life. We must learn how to allow God comes to our our lives and try to forgive and forget when offended.

The sin of envy corrupts and eats up the soul and will always be what will deviate you from God's blessing. Let us endeavour to stay away from it. Envy is the enemy
I dont even know why people will not be satisfied with what the Lord has given them .
When God created you he gave you a unique destiny if which is different from what he gave others .
Why do you keep on complaining of what others have ? Make time and pray to God to give you your own and not envying others.
You mind must be clear for you to receive God's blessing
