God supplies our needs. ALL

Do not carry a bag, saddlebag, or shoes; and to no one salute on the way.

(Luke 10: 4)

Some imagine that because Christ told his disciples not to carry provisions, that implies that he was giving them license to be professional beggars. And some Western schools have said that the reason he instructed them not to greet anyone on the way, was because people in the East were wasting a lot of time greeting each other. They met each other and talked for a long time wanting to know each other's lives. These school children maintain that Jesus did not want his disciples to waste their time in this way. These explanations are simply not true.
To begin with, Jesus did not want his disciples to bring money and provisions, because he wanted them to depend on Him who clothes the lilies of the field and feeds the birds. God would be his sufficiency. He would meet his needs. So instead of being "no one salute along the way," the correct translation is "do not solicit anyone on the road." In other words, they had to trust God, not solicit him or beg from those they found.
We have truly moved away, we are very far from those first days of the church. Today, when a preacher receives an invitation to preach to a congregation he wants to know about salary, food, house, benefits and everything else. That we trust God to meet all our needs is a story we read in the Bible, but it is not a story that one expects to see applied in manifestation in our life.

Because the king had in the sea a fleet of ships of Tarsis, with the fleet of Hiram.

Once every three years the fleet of Tarsis came, and brought gold, silver, ivory, monkeys and peacocks.
It is not difficult for us to think that Solomon imported goods from other countries. For centuries and centuries before Christ, my country, India, not only had commercial contacts with the countries of Asia Minor, but also exported religion and philosophy. But what are the monkeys and the peacocks coming from?
At the beginning of his reign over Israel, Solomon had reflected the very wisdom of God in his judgments. There was peace on earth, economic prosperity, and it was he who built the temple for the worship of God. No other man ever had such a great opportunity to be what he could be, and it must have been.
When he sought God's counsel and depended on him, he was in fact invincible. His fame spread throughout the world. They came from all parts of the globe to hear the wisdom of Solomon. And in this relationship with God he found security and prosperity.
But very soon he began to fall asleep on the laurels of the knowledge of the senses, yielding to sensual impulses. He surrounded himself with hundreds of women from all over the world. Three hundred of them became his wives and seven hundred of his concubines. God had warned him by telling him that these women would lead him to the worship of their pagan gods. But Solomon did not want to listen to him, and gradually he fell asleep in a life of total despair, arriving at the conclusion that everything was vanity and affliction of spirit. The Telugu translation says thus: all work (of man) under the sky is like a man hitting the air, and finding nothing at all.

But what is happening with the people of God? He has promised to protect us, to keep us as the child of His eyes. But here I find that most Christians do not have the serenity that comes from the certainty of knowing that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and defends them (Psalm 34: 7). We believe in our thoughts that all things are good for those of us who love God (Romans 8:28). However, we do not believe in our hearts that we will not be shaken and shaken by every problem that besets us. We would realize that, in all situations, we, through Christ, are victors. In the middle of each of the furious storms, then, we could obtain the victory, if we know with all the certainty that we are in the hands of Christ, who never lost a single battle.

Our daily life is so far from Christ that we can not feel its protection, power and presence. And instead of confessing our sin and seeking the face of God, we become like Solomon and the other Eastern Kings - the "monkeys" of our time, which we hope will give us protection and take care of us and look for us .

Since Solomon stopped recognizing the smile of God in his life, he had to return to other places looking for prosperity. So he sent for peacocks. The peacocks were the symbol of God's presence. The idea was that where there was a peacock, there was the blessing and prosperity of God. The feathers of peacocks were used to bless, they were given as offerings to people so that they could have prosperity. So, here we see once again that Solomon was in tune with the tradition of men, rather than with the will of God.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that, having always in all things all that is sufficient, you may abound in every good work.

(2 Corinthians 9: 8)
