GOD NEEDS YOUR HEART
He who has the mind of Christ, will see in the eyes of God
In Proverbs 23: 26, scripture says:
O my son, give me your heart. May your eyes take delight in following my ways.
Until our heart is controlled by God, our eyes cannot see the ways of God. The heart is the seat of man's decision and every actions stem from there. Thus, whatever controls our heart, controls our acts. Interestingly, many beings and things seek to have a hold of our hearts: Self, Sin, Satan, World and God. Sadly, many Christians still have their hearts in their hands and that is why they find it difficult to please God and this results in an up-and-down walk.
God in his infinite wisdom foreknew this and sought to have hold of our hearts in order to direct our eyes to the paths towards His pre-designed purpose for our lives.
My simple assignment this morning is to charge you to deliberately give your hearts to God and He will instruct your eyes and ears to the paths he wants you to tread which leads to blessings and fruitfulness.
