Choose to Serve God Today

Joshua 24: 15 (NIV)

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

The outcome of our lives is dependent on the choices we make. As each day passes, life gives is options to choose from and nothing gets away passively.

In our opening scripture, we see a man, who courageously declared to the people he led that he will serve God with his family.

Joshua is one man that had seen difficult times from his youthful days even when he served God with Moses. He met oppositions especially when sent to spy Canaan.

On leading the people, we see at one point that the people seemed to have deviated their focus from God, the reason he called the people to consciousness of declaring their stand for God.

Today, life still offers us the options of either following God or the world systems. Even Jesus admitted that these God and the world still require oir allegiance today.

We must decide to serve God like Joshua did and carry our families alongside in the decision.
