What is your cave?

Greetings parishioners of Steemchurch I was reading about the history of the football team that was stuck in the cave in Pattaya, Thailand, due to the climatic circumstances that took them more and more inside of it, I was meditating that many times in our life circumstances occur that can lead us to get trapped in caves.

The prophet Elijah, in I Kings 18, challenged the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of Asher for a duel in which they would see who really was the true God. In verse 38, the Lord responded with fire to the prayers of Elijah, and in verse 39 the people declared, "Only the Lord is God."

After that duel, Elijah prayed that he would collide in Israel, since there were already three and a half years that it was not raining. And the Lord answered the prayers of Elijah, and the rain came.

In I Kings 19, King Ahab recounts everything that happened on Mount Carmel to Jezebel, his wife, and she, angered by the prophet, threatens him. Elijah was afraid and fled to save his life. In verse 9, the Bible shows that Elijah entered a cave.

Dear brothers, that brave prophet, who had won so many battles, now hides in a cave in fear of Jezebel. Why? He was lonely, he was exhausted from fighting for his nation to fear and serve the Lord.

In our lives, many times, after struggling and persevering for a long time due to some situation (such as the conversion of relatives, health, finances, etc.), our emotions discourage us and lead us to enter caves.

The question is: In what cave are you? The cave of discouragement? The grudge cave? The cave of unforgiveness? The cave of disbelief? I do not really know what cave you are in, but one thing I know: you can get out of that cave, in the same way that the divers saved that soccer team from that locality in Thailand, and in the same way that the Lord ordered Elijah to I would leave the cave and stay on the Mount, in the presence of the Lord, for He would pass on that mountain.

Dear ones, the Lord did not make us to stay hidden in caves. Decide now to ask for help from the Lord, for He is an expert in spectacular rescues. He, the Lord, wants rescue from the emotional caves that are suffocating! Stay on the Mount waiting for the Lord to pass.

Meditate on the chapters of I Kings, 18 and 19.

Good illustration Sister, the cave of fear and depression engulfed the prophet Elijah but regained divine strength to advance.
