Serving God

in #steemchurch6 years ago

Daniel had recently been tossed in the lions' lair, and King Darius came there early in the day to check whether Daniel was as yet alive. He stated, "Daniel, hireling of the living God, has your God, whom you serve constantly… " He considered Daniel a "worker of the living God," who serves God "ceaselessly."

Serving God can be classified into two noteworthy measurements: administration and living.

The first is working for God, or what we today call service. We call ministers and different pastors "workers of God." Yes, that is right, they are the hirelings of God. But there is another measurement of serving God. This is the measurement that Daniel was working in above. Daniel was not "working for God" somewhere in the sanctuary there. He served God by the manner in which he lived.

The tenth verse of a similar part above says, "Now when Daniel realized that the composition was marked, he went home. What's more, in his second story room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he stooped down on his knees three times that day, and asked and expressed gratefulness before his God, just like his custom since early days." (Dan. 6:10 NKJ.)

He was living for God, in supplication, tending to God in thanksgiving and acclaim, living in uprightness, and so forth. The Babylonians saw Daniel and considered him the worker of the living God. Serve God with your life and work!

What do you think King Darius saw that influenced him to consider Daniel the "Hireling of the living God?"

Do you realize that the work you do at your activity or home is also serving God? You live for God! Col 3:23-24.

Daniel was always conscious of whom God is and the strange land he found himself would not twist the faithfulness of God and his faithfulness towards God. Our serviced bring blessings when done with a pure heart like Daniel did. Thank you @tikhub for the admonishing.
