THE GREATEST REQUEST YOU CAN EVER ASK FOR ON YOUR KNEELS

In a view of what is going on around the world, there is a very important question that we need to ask ourselves, especially those of us that claim to be believers. What do you think is the most important prayer you can pray? For instance, the prayer:

“O God, open thou my eye”

Is a good prayer but it is not the most important prayer.”

“O God, my life will not be cut short, it shall not be wasted”

Is a good prayer but it is not the most important prayer.

Another one is

“Lord, bombard me with with uncommon prosperity.”

This are beautiful prayers but not the most important prayer.

“My father give me a wonderful wife”

Good prayer but not the most important one.

“My father give me a lovely husband”

This is also a good prayer but not the most important one.

“Empower me O Lord”

This is also good but not the most important prayer.”

“O Lord, send revival”

This is also a good prayer but not the most important prayer.

Beloved, the greatest prayer you can pray is to ask for the presence of God. To have the presence of God is paramount in any life.

“Psalm 16:11 King James Version (KJV) says,
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”

So, the most important prayer is to ask for the presence of the Lord to be with you always.*”

“Psalm 51:11 King James Version (KJV) says,
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.”

“Psalm 103:7 King James Version (KJV) says,
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.”

There is an underlying lesson in this verse. There are two ways with God mentioned here: He made known His way unto Moses but it was only His act that the children of Israel saw. It is only those who dwell in the presence of God that can know His ways. So many people that come to church are in interested in His acts. That is; "What can God do for me", but unfortunately, that is not the greatest prayer. The greatest prayer is to know His ways.

“Exodus 33:14-15 King James Version (KJV) says,
And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.”

In other words, Moses said: if your presence is not going with us, just leave us where we are.
So, the most important prayer then is the prayer to seek or pursue God himself. When you have that as your focus, then you have everything. You will begin to receive answers you never even prayed. You will begin to experience God in every area of your life.

As a matter of fact, the more time you spend with God, the more you become like Him. The more you are in the presence of God, the more God gets into you and the more godly you become.

It is a wonderful thing to dwell in the presence of God. It is a marvellous thing to lose yourself In God. As a matter of fact, it is dangerous to sleep at night without His presence.

The pertinent question question is, do you have His presence? Or have you lost His presence? Once the presence of God is with you, you are at the centre of victory. No power or demon can harass you when you are completely overshadowed by the presence or God.

That is why the Psalmist said, “Cast me not from your presence, and take not the Holy Spirit from me.” That is why Moses said, “Sir If your your presence will not go with me, I am not going anywhere.” These two understood what it means to have the presence of God. Moses did not say, “God just disgrace every enemy before us.*”

Any divine discipline is more bearable than being removed from the presence of God. The Bible says Jonah fled from the presence of God and he ran into more serious trouble. It became more dangerous to have Jonah in that boat. All kinds of people were in that boat but God did not care. Just because a man left the presence of the Almighty, He was ready to destroy everybody in that boat. I pray that if you do not have the presence of God with you, by the power of the God of Elijah receive it, in the name of Jesus. And if you have lost His presence, recover it, in the name of Jesus.

There was another man called Paul. He was in the ship with two hundred and seventy-five people who were mostly hardened criminals. But because of him, the Lord preserved the lives of all those who were in the ship.
I decree, “May you become His presence carrier, in the name of Jesus.”

When His presence is with you, you will become a terror to the kingdom of darkness. When His presence is with you, anywhere you go, His light will overshadow the place.

So beloved, let us strive to have the presence of God and our lives will never remain the same.

O God my father refresh me with your touch, in the name of Jesus. Amen
