MY STEEMCHURCH BULLETIN : "SPIRITUAL BLACKOUT" #2
Good day to all my fellow steemians and @steemchurch members. Today I will write about spiritual blackout, bible studies made today will be shared here for all to gain more insight into the things of God.
SPIRITUAL BLACKOUT

Of all types of blackouts, spiritual Blackout is the worst. Blackout means so many things.
When somebody is in a coma, it is blackout. Blackout means being unconscious. Blackout means to be knocked out. Blackout means when the memory is completely wiped off. Blackout means blankness. Blackout means speechlessness. Blackout means lack of communication. Blackout means lack of illumination.
“Blackout to a layman means there is lack of light.”
But there are much more serious issues about blackouts. The Bible makes a serious issues about blackouts. The Bible makes an interesting statement in the book of isaiah
“Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears. Isa 43:8”
This means in reality a person could be physically blind and deaf but spiritually alright in seeing and hearing.
BLACKOUT OF SAUL

In the book of 1st samuel there is a classical example of spiritual blackout. The Bible says;
“1 Samuel 28:5-14 King James Version (KJV)
And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled.
And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.”
The bible made it very clear that there was a total blackout when Saul was seeking the divine voice. Saul enquired from the Lord spiritually. Saul did not seek after the devil, he enquired from the Lord. But when Saul turned to the Lord, there was no answer to his enquiry. The prophet's channel was dead. The problem was not the channel, the prophet and Urim. The problem was Saul himself.
God still speaks through dreams. If other persons had consulted the prophets and the Urim, God would have answered them, but God instructed the prophet and the Urim not to say anything to Saul.

Why did God decide not to say anything to Saul? Saul didn't do anything to the previous signals he got from God. Saul didn't regard the word of God conveyed through the previous signals he got from God.
What a tragedy for Saul!
THE BROAD WAY TO BLACKOUT
The bible makes it clear that resisting the Holy Ghost could lead to a blackout. Rebelling against conviction.
“The Bible says Quench not the spirit. 1THESSALONIANS 5:19”
When you quench the spirit, you are inviting a blackout.
When you reject more enlightenment on an issue then you will experience blackout.
When you reject illumination
“The Bible says;
And grieve not the HOLY SPIRIT of God, whereby ye are Sealed unto the day of redemption”
You could grieve the Holy Spirit when you failed to abhor evil thoughts.
When you utter careless and evil words, you grieve the Holy Spirit which will lead to blackout.
“The Bible says;
Hebrews 10:29 King James Version (KJV)
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?”
When you insult the Holy Spirit you experience blackout; It means you are mocking Holy things, you are mocking the blood of Jesus.
“The Bible says;
Acts 5:3 King James Version (KJV)
But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?”
When you lie to the Holy Spirit, you will end up in total blackout.
If you hypocritically pretend to be fully dedicated to God and yet you are holding back some pet sins.
“The bible says;
Acts 5 King James Version (KJV)
Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.”
When you tempt the Holy Spirit by going to God with premeditated sins.
This is bad!!!!.
Brethen, you will need to review your life. If you are under a blackout, you will have evil guidance. You will make irreparable mistakes. This situation will lead to broken homes, it will cause financial collapse. It will cause spiritual incompetence. It can result in untimely death.
You will need to talk to God and that whatever is causing spiritual blackout in my life that God should forgive you.
PRAYER TIME:
Every power of spiritual blackout in my spirit man, be arrested by the blood of Jesus.
Every power pushing me to the fowlers net, be destroyed in the name of Jesus.

Spiritual blackout for me means a complete absence of the faith and hope, the belief in the forces of good... It is not a nice way to exist.
