STEEMCHURCH / Do Not Force To Believe, Be An Example Of Faith

There are occasions to leave the faith or to doubt if we are too exaggerated with the things that happen around us, in our society; that sometimes we disparagingly call it the world.

If we review the media we will find that every day things become relative, almost nothing is bad and even what was once considered bad, is now called: "New life option"; And I would think that's true, we all have a choice for life.

Personally, I chose to study Biblical Sciences, Religious Sciences and dedicate my life to evangelize whether preaching, forming different spaces, or writing as I do now; and the truth has not been easy, since it is not "normal" for people to want to dedicate their lives to God. But as I said: "It's my choice of life" and I can not force all the people with whom I surround myself to do the same. Therefore they can not force me to do things that do not fill me or make me happy.

Sometimes we spend our lives trying to force people to do something or stop doing what they are doing. The believer is called to announce and denounce, but never to compel. There are certain opportunities in the year that lend themselves to fights between groups of believers and non-believers; and even in the midst of families there are those who believe and those who do not; and it is from there that all the mess begins.

Each one of us comes from a family and I imagine that from the time we were little they taught us that it is okay and that no, they should have taught us that there is a God and he loves us. They also told us that there are certain practices that believers perform and others that seem so harmless that we should not do them. If you did not grow up in such a place, today I invite you to be more aware that there are things that do not suit us, since being a Christian implies being there every day without exception.

Today I do not want to tell you how to defend your faith, I'll just tell you to do what you do as a Christian every day; You do not have to fight, since each person is free to have a position in life. You must be light in the midst of it, but an attractive light, not a person who tires with his speech or only points out sin and the evil that is the world or the sinner. And beware that there are people who act out of ignorance and not out of evil.

Jesus sent us like sheep in the midst of wolves; it means that it will not be easy. But he also told us that we have to be as gentle as doves and as clever as serpents. Do not turn your face bitter and critical of the church, rather with your example and good treatment leads people to God. Evangelize from happiness and respect. It will not be easy, but you will see the fruits.

Perhaps today there is no radical change, but you have already planted a seed and you must take care of it daily, since it is not about being the "brave Christian" that faces the forces of evil on a specific day and then you forget to accompany that person who has another way of living.

Take care of your faith, invite others, be an example, but always be happy and respectful.

Mark 16:16

He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.

1 Timothy 4:12

Let no one despise you for being young. On the contrary, that the believers see in you an example to follow in the way of speaking, in the conduct, and in love, faith and purity.

1 Timothy 6:12

Fight the good fight of faith; make yours the eternal life, to which you were called and for which you made that admirable declaration of faith before many witnesses.

You can't force anyone to believe. You should feel free to discuss your faith with anyone who will listen. People discuss things that they're passionate about so they should discuss the faith that they're passionate about. If you're born again and you're not passionate about your faith then you should examine your shortcomings and figure out why.

We should learn how to defend our faith. We're not following by blind faith. We have faith in what we know to be true.

An excellent book on apologetics is "Evidence That Demands A Verdict" by Josh McDowell. You can often find one on Amazon or eBay for a dollar plus shipping.
