OUR FATHERS HAVE SINNED; WE BARE THEIR INIQUITIES

Genesis 10:6

“The sons of Ham were Cush,Mizraim,Put and Cannan”.

Canaan was the son born to Ham after the flood. Canaan was Noah’s grandchild from his youngest son, Ham.

Every grandfather’s favorite is usually the youngest grandchild.

But what happened?

Ham went to uncover his father’s nakedness when he was drunk from wine. **(Genesis 9:22).

Who should have received the punishment? Ham you would say.

But what did Canaan do to ever deserve the punishment of his father?

Ham had 4 sons, why was Canaan, the youngest picked to bare his father’s burden?
Gen 9:24-29 Verse 25

"Cursed be Canaan,A SERVANT OF SERVANTS...”

What did he ever do wrong to deserve such heavy words from his grandfather

It could be in fulfillment of a prophecy. Divinely orchestrated by God but tell me, was Canaan there when his father misbehaved?
Did he have anything to do with it?
Did he even get to know his father did something wrong?

But his ignorance didn’t stop God from dealing with the Canaanites. Did it?

Whatever misfortune befell them, whatever made the generation of the young fellow a servant to his brethren, it was something done by his own father which he probably doesn’t know of. And the terrible thing is it goes like that for everyone who came from his bloodline.

Ignorance of this to them, isn’t and excuse. The word has already gone forth, alive and potent, ravaging and bringing them to servanthood.

In 1 sam 4:21,

"She named the boy Ichabod, saying, “The glory has departed from Israel,” referring to the capture of the ark of God and the deaths of her father-in-law and her husband."

The wife of phenias, was about to give birth but she heard the news of the death of her husband, father in law, in verse 20, when the matrons told her she was delivered a boy, instead of the joy of motherhood and also the happiness that’s accorded male children those days, the bible said she answered not, neither regarded it.

Guess what next, from that moment, the child incurred his mother’s bitterness, she named him ICHABOD meaning no glory or inglorious.

What did that harmless baby ever do wrong?

For 9 months, he was in his mother’s womb, being the joy of his father, building and coming forth great. But when he arrived, the burdens of the present happenings were placed on him and he was called no glory. So anyone who called his name was in otherwords declaring a nevative prophecy over him.

Like it or not, this flows through his bloodline. This is not a matter of ignorance or a matter of he didn’t know what happened.this is a situation of it is already pronounced.

1 chronicles 4:9

"There was a man called Jabez. He was a great man and he was better than his brothers. His mother called him Jabez, which means ‘pain’. She said, ‘I had a lot of pain at his birth.’ That is why she chose that name." Easyenglish

This young man was called honourable than his brethren, but something was wrong.
His mother named him Jabez(Sorrowful) Because she bore him with much sorrow and pain. And it stuck to him. Even though he was honorable.

Was it Jabez's fault? And what did he do, he Authoured the prayer of Jabez:
"Jabez called out to the God of Israel, “If only you would greatly bless me and expand my territory! May your hand be with me! Keep me from harm so I might not endure pain!” God answered his prayer.-NET

About 5 minutes prayer... "and God heard him"

Lamentations 5:19

Our forefathers sinned and are dead, but we suffer their punishment. -NET

That's the problem. Do you know what your forefathers did?

Let me help you define forefathers so you'll have understanding of the weight of this.

"the founder of a family"

In other words, every one who had continued your bloodline. Look back at history if you can, your 40 generations back, what were they into.

Ignorance is not an excuse. In fact ignorance puts you in a position of danger.

You might choose to say, Christ has paid it all.

Yes he has, he finished in on the cross of Calvary.

But do you also know He died before he ever lived?
We are predestined. Predestined is paradoxical....
Pre- means before or beginning
Destined- end.
Predestined means our beginning end.

Meaning he finished you before beginning you.

He finished redemption work before he even started. Coming to earth was to carry it out.

Colossians 2:14

"He has destroyed what was against us, a certificate of indebtedness expressed in decrees opposed to us. He has taken it away by nailing it to the cross"-NET

That's your victory. Today, cry out to your father like Jabez did.

Whatever has been done by your fathers, that you are reaping the negative fruits now, it must be cancelled in the name of Jesus.

The problem with our nations today is what our fathers have done.

Some of them have died and other will soon die. But you and I, the future of these nations, what will cry against us.

The blood of Abel, a single man cried against Cain. Look around, the blood the fathers of your nations are shedding. The blood your own fathers have shed.

They will cry! Blood definitely will!

But thank God we have an advocate.
"erasing the handwriting of ordinances that were against us"

I would like you to say a word of prayer over your life, family and nation.

Asking For the blood of Jesus to cancel all such ordinances working against you as a result of the deeds of your fathers or your own personal doing.

Ask for mercy.

This is only available to those who have been redeemed and who have decided to love God. And believe on his only son. Don't be ashamed of Jesus. If you would love to know him, just place your hand on your chest and declare this:

I declare I love you Jesus, I know you died for me, forgive me of my sins, wash me in your blood, recreate me and make me brand new. I declare with my mouth you are the Lord, the risen son of God. Amen.

If you're sick also, health wise, financial, emotionally, whatever, don't mind this medium, God is not limited to any media. Just declare: I am healed by the stripes of Jesus, I am made whole, I am renewed and revitalized. Am well in my body, am well in my soul, and well in my spirit. My mind is sound, my soul is lifted my spirit is aflame. Thank you Jesus because by your stripes, I am made whole..

Thank you for reading. God bless you in Jesus name.
