THE LORD IS MY LIGHT!
"The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalms 27:1)
Light is fundamental to every realm of creativity.
Genesis 1:3 says "And God said, let there be light: and there was light".
God did not begin the work of creation without first calling light into existence. Jesus also came to give us divine light.
John 1:4 says "In him was life and the life was the light of men".
The light of God is the key to subdue every work of darkness.
John 1:5 says "And the light shineth in darkness and darkness comprehended it not".
Your possession of divine light affects your command of exploits in life.
God wants us to live in the light not in darkness. The light of the word of God shows us how to reign over darkness.
John 8:12 says "then shake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life".
Light also refers to quality information, knowledge and know-how in one's carrier field.
Ecclesiastes 10:15 says "The labour of the foolish wearieth everyone of them because he knoweth not how to go to the city".
You need both spiritual and mental light to do exploits.
HOW TO RECEIVE LIGHT:
- BELIEVE IN JESUS AS SAVIOUR AND LORD:
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life". (John 8:12)
- GROW IN WORD STUDY:
"Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way" (Psalms 119:105)
- SEEK KNOWLEDGE THROUGH LEARNING AND TRAINING:
"A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels" (Proverbs 1:5)
- ASSOCIATE WITH THOSE WHO KNOW MORE:
"He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed" (Proverbs 13:20)
