A Message from Nehemiah

It is recorded in the scriptures how Nehemiah was courageous and determined to accomplish his purpose despite all oppositions from Sanballat, Geshem and others. The book of Nehemiah chapter 6 vs 1-19 tells the story in details. They had sent for Nehemiah with an intention of hurting him, but being a man filled with the spirit of God, Nehemiah declined telling them he cannot leave the great job he is doing to follow them. They sent for him again and again, but he replied them the same way, that he cannot leave the job till it is accomplished.

His adversaries set out ways to frighten and hinder him from building the walls, yet , he never gave in to those frights. Shemai’ah being hired by Sanballat and Tobiah prophesied falsely to Nehemiah in order to trap him, but as a man with the spirit of God, Nehemiah understood that his words were not from God, and he rebuked him. He remained consistent till the work was being completed. And when all the enemies heard of it, they became afraid knowing that the work was accomplished with the help of God.

Many Christians today had fallen due to the threat from the enemies. But the God has made us understand in the book of Isaiah ch. 41 vs 10 that we should never fear, for he is always with us to deliver us. People have given up on their project, not because they can’t accomplish it, but because of fear of the unknown. If you be a child of God, then you have no need to be afraid of your enemies because what is in you is indeed greater than what is in the world. You have a great God!!

You are what God says you are!
You do what God says you do!
Be strong and fervent in spirit, for God is too great to let you down.
