THE BEAUTIFUL GOSPEL

Good day steemians.

Greetings from our Lord Jesus Christ and the apostles of our first online church @steemchurch.

I'll be doing a brief writeup on the victory of a believer over sin.

Prior to the day of our salvation the fall had affected our ability to wield our will against lust that it was much easier to sin against God than to obey His instructions. This was because we had sin indwelt us. Simply put, we were captors of sin.

As a result of the enmity found between the flesh and God. We taking sides with sin made us God's enemy. But glory to God Who had delivered us from the power of sin and death.

It wasn't so long ago that we were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. We let the world, which doesn't know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. We filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat.

It's a wonder God didn't lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah.

God did become a son of man in order that sons of men who'd believe in Him would become sons of God — Peremobowei Agiddi.

Did you know?

I. Jesus tore down the wall of separation between man and God which was instituted by the fall.

Romans 5:1-2 KJV

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

This is one truth we must understand if we will harness the victory Jesus wrought for us on the cross over sin. Which is;

God is at peace with us and we have direct access to Him.

In Christ Jesus we who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that He might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace, and might reconcile us both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility through it. He came and preached peace to us who were far off and to those who were near. For through him we all have our access in one Spirit to the Father. So then we are no longer strangers and foreigners, but we are fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God.

II. We are God's righteousness.
Righteousness as defined by the Wordweb dictionary is adhering to moral principles. This definition of righteousness is myopic, purblind and void of nutrient meet for the salvation of our soul.

Righteousness is a nature. It is in the nature of God to be righteous. It is first a nature before moral acceptation. And, beyond morals we have been accepted by God. Scripture reveals in second Corinthians two and verse twenty one that;

For he hath made Christ to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ.

I am not too proud to mention; "I am God's righteousness." This is the grace of God.

III. Righteousness is also a gift gifted us by God at the expense of Christ.

Romans 5:17 KJV
For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.

By accepting Jesus we are declared righteous — free of all charges once and for all.

New birth is a spiritual exercise in which Christ life and God's righteousness is imputed to an individual.

IV. The devil is inconsequential.
Never at any time has satan being a threat to God. God by choice, chose to defeat him through those He made in His image and likeness.

See what scripture has to say; Hebrews 2:14-15 KJV.

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

This is the salvation of God. We have been delivered from the grip of darkness and have been translated into the kingdom of light. He has blessed us with all that we will ever need in this life and that which is to come.

Ephesians 1:3 KJV

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

2 Peter 1:3 KJV

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

I conclude with this, the devil has no knowledge of your future until you reveal it to him. He comes with a "did God say" question all the time. Therefore, it is our responsibility to keep our tongue in check.

What are you confessing?

Our lives are shaped by our words.

Are you still entangled in the web of sin?

Jesus is able to save you. Call on Him today.

May God bless you and keep you in one piece in the name of Jesus.

From your beloved friend and brother in Christ, @sirpee
