In the Kingdom of God

In the Gospel of Matthew who was a tax collector and then became one of the disciples of our Lord Jesus, reference is made to the "kingdom of heaven" on several occasions.

Making an account of the life of Christ, Matthew relates that:

"In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" Matthew 3: 1-2.

And, describing the beginning of Jesus' ministry, he tells us: "From then on Jesus began to preach, and to say:

"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" Matthew 4:17.

The prophet Daniel had announced that "the God of heaven will raise a kingdom that will never be destroyed".

And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will raise a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will the kingdom be left to another people; it will crush and consume all these kingdoms, but it will remain forever. Daniel 2:44.

Matthew is the only author in the Bible who uses the term "kingdom of heaven." Based on this distinction, some people have wondered how the kingdom of heaven relates to the Kingdom of God. Do both terms refer to the same kingdom?

If we analyze the book of Matthew carefully, we will see that the term "kingdom of God" is also used several times. In Matthew 6:33, for example, the author records the words of Jesus Christ saying: "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." In fact, Matthew speaks of the "kingdom of God" four times in addition to this. Matthew 12:28; 19:24; 21:31, 43. In conclusion as the context indicates these passages, the author clearly uses both terms to refer to the same kingdom

IS THE PROMISED KINGDOM TO THE ONE WHO KEEPS HIS COMMANDMENTS.
