CHRISTIANITY TODAY!
Happy Sunday Friends. Let us reason few things about our journey together this Sunday evening.
How important is church to our Christianity and what exact role is expected of Pastor to play in the life and journey of church goers?
At what point should a church member decide either to continue servicing under a particular Pastor?
At what point should a church member decide either to continue servicing in a church or change his church?
In attempting these questions, I was looking at quite a few things.
*When you no longer hear anything in church services no matter how loud the speakers are or how sound the Pastor makes his voice..... When the heart is wrenched and the essence is lost.
*When the office of a Pastor is more important to a Pastor than the life of his members.
*When a Pastor can happily invoke calamity on some of his members he feels don't agree with his orders.
*When a Pastor dwells in the exhibition of rage, bitterness and vengeance.
*When a Pastor wants to use your death or calamity as a testimony of his next victory.
From my Sunday school class today, I learnt few things around some of these errors. But honestly speaking, can we have such a Pastor and yet see him as a Pastor? Can you believe in his prayers? Can you believe in his Ministry? Should you continue to service under him in pretence for loyalty to the church?
Many questions?
Serving Jesus Christ is not bread and butter.
But we will not be permitted under any excuse on the last day.
But I think we have to move on sometimes....
