Achieving Your Goals

I believe too many people are going through life aimlessly, many without even recognizing there is a race to run, the one that requires urgency. Set goals for your finances, your health, your career and most especially your spiritual life. Spiritual goal setting will help us achieve our God-given potential.

If you must get ahead in life, you are going to have to set goals, and then work hard to reach them.

When the purpose of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable
When you live your life without a plan, then you help others to fulfil their set goals.

Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established. – Proverbs 16:3

"Failing to plan is planning to fail," For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have [sufficient] to finish [it]? Luke 14:28.

Setting goals helps you overcome distractions.

Setting goals keeps you from wasting time. Ephesians 5:16 tells us we are supposed to be smart about the way we use our time.

Success depends upon previous preparation, and without such preparation there is sure to be failure.

If you aren't doing anything to accomplish your set goals, He isn't doing anything either.

Do not abandon your goal when the going gets tough.
Never allow yourself to feel a victim. Do not abandon your goals just because your plans did not initially work out the way you wanted them to.
We all face, at times, situations where our belief system seems to collide with our goals.
When you encounter difficulties and setbacks, react by seeing what you can learn and benefit from them.

To achieve your goals, you must get wisdom and understanding in order to take the right steps. Knowledge must precede action or much time and effort will be wasted through misguided efforts and dead-end directions.

It is possible you research your goals and dreams before you start working to achieve it. Learn everything you can about that goal you want to achieve. You need good information to make the right decisions.

In Conclusion

When you have your goal written down and clear in your mind, it's time to visualize and strategize with tactics and a timeline.
Whatever your goal, make sure to allow God to be the main motivation for whatever you decide to do, and you can’t go wrong.
