AVOID EVERY FORM OF STRIFE

in #steemchurch6 years ago

It is an honour for a man to cease from strife...
Proverbs 20:3
KJV

Strife is a very destructive force. It creeps into relationships little by little, maybe through a misunderstood comment or a wrong look from someone, and it can then escalate into something much bigger and worse.

When you choose to avoid strife and overlook an offence done against you, you are acting honourably, and you are honouring God.

So, how do you avoid strife?. The Bible tells us that love covers over many offences/a multitude of sins. Love gives people second chances and the benefit of the doubt.

You might probably have a difficult colleague at the office but, they may have a loved one in the hospital.

Instead of getting upset about it, walk in love—be patient, be kind to them, not because they deserve it but, because you deserve peace of mind and mist importantly because, God commanded us to. Extend grace to them.

Always look for ways to walk in unity with the people in your life whether; family, friends or acquaintances. When we walk in unity with others, there is a commanded blessing upon us.

Let us always avoid strife and choose peace and watch the hand of God move mightily in our lives.

Follow peace with ALL men.
Do ALL you can to live in peace with EVERYONE.

God bless you

Thank you very much.

There's nothing wrong with talking to someone about a situation that bothers you. It's better to talk about it openly than to let bitterness and resentment creep in.

I work cleaning cat cages during the week at a pet store. I have to work at not wanting the weekend person to do everything my way as if my way is the best way. So I'll leave them notes about what's significant. The other stuff I just need to forget.

I totally agree with you.
I also like the your approach with your colleagues. In life's relationships, we should learn to be tolerant of others and deal with them with them in wisdom.

Thank you for your comment.
