FORGIVING ONE ANOTHER
Not forgiving your fellow being is one of the hindrances to prayer,not forgiving someone that offends
us is a big sin and very dangerous.
Many Christians are ignorant of the fact that unforgiveness is a sin in one's life and they would even be proud of it,some will even say they can keep malice with one another for years,while some will say it is until they get to heaven before they can forgive themselves. I want you to know that on the judgement day,even God will not settle the fight between the other person, what will be left for is the judgement of hell awaiting you where there would be no mercy for you.
Hebrews 9:27,
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die,but after this the judgement"
There are some that even vowed that even if his/her parent wake from the dead to beg on behalf of the person,he/she will not accept, thinking it is good not knowing the prayer of that person will be hindered.
Forgiveness is a commandment from Jesus Christ for all His followers, if we want God to forgive us,we also need to forgive others of the wrong they have done to us,and if we don't follow this commandment,such person cannot find the favour of God in prayer because God cannot answer a person who harbour hatred in his/her heart.
John 9:31a,
"Now we know that God heareth not sinners". Therefore if you refuse to forgive your fellow being who offends you,you have lock the doors of blessing and breakthrough by yourself because God will not listen to your prayers.
You as a Christian, going to church and having the spirit of revenge,you had better go and meet the fellow and forgive so that God can hear you.
Mark 11:25-26,
"And when ye stand praying, forgive,if ye have ought against any:that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespass. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses."
When you do not follow the instructions in Mark 11:25-26, and went on going for vigils,praying like heaven should fall, your prayers cannot be answered unless you forgive those in your heart. The Bible says "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."(Proverbs 28:13). This means that if you refuse to forgive wholeheartedly, you can never receive good things from God because it is a big sin if you don't have the spirit of forgiveness but if you reconcile with your fellow and forgives totally,you will receive God's mercy.
The reason why forgiving one another is so important to Jesus that if we don't forgive, we also cannot be forgiven is that Jesus Christ is the Prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6), because of this,He wants everyone to live in peace with themselves in all ways.
Hebrews 12:14,
"Follow peace with all men, and holiness,without which no man shall see the Lord"
Romans 12:18,
"If it be possible, as much as lieth in you,live peaceably with all men"
Therefore,please settle the misunderstanding with your fellow human beings before you go to the house of God to pray of worship if only you want your praise and worship to Him be accepted. These are what Jesus taught us. Read Matthew 5:23-26
Jesus already know that people are bound to hurt our feelings and some are even there intentionally to quarrel with us,some will be used by Satan to make us talk/say what we ought not to say but we as a child of God, and followers of His word,we should never allow that discourage us but we should endure it.
You reading this post, go and make amends where you still harbour unforgiveness and make peace with everyone where necessary before it is too late.

Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”
We need to have the spirit of forgiveness so that we can also be forgiven by God. When you also forgive others,you will be at peace with yourself and people around you.
We always pray saying "forgive us our trespass as we forgive those who trepasses against us" We find it difficult to forgive those who has wrong us, even when we forgive we fail to forget.
