Many people being believers do not get the promised rest. Some of us are busy with the things of this world or we are troubled by our own feelings; we are perplexed and shaken from here to there by doubts and fears. We should be resting, because "those who have believed, yes we enter into rest." Rest corresponds to us by right: "Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ"; but, for some reason or other, some of those who are thus justified do not seem to achieve this peace, nor enjoy rest as they should. Certainly, our Lord Jesus Christ, when he pronounced the words of our text, did not speak to a particular group. To all who are fatigued and burdened, whether Christians or not, He says: "Come to me, and I will give you rest." I will certainly rejoice if, as a result of my sermon, some who are tense and plaintive perhaps, with a downhearted spirit and an oppressed heart, come again to Christ, approaching Him once more, coming into contact with Him again, and so on. They find rest for their souls. Resting, as did those who participated in the last supper, when the Master was reclined in the midst of his apostles. Therefore, let their heads rest spiritually on His breast and let their hearts find refuge in their wounds, as they hear Him say: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Brothers let God take your burden He does it with pleasure, when you ask for his help. Many people do not work on this faith and principle because of ignorance and lack of trust in God. They tend to help themselves and do things their own way instead of doing it God's way, and this is very bad in God's eyes because it means disobeying His word. Then, as believers and children of God, we have to obey His word and see His promises by doing what is commanded, then no one will call God a liar or affirm that His word is not true. But the fact is that the people of God do not practice or live according to these words. As a result, they go through incomprehensible and questionable problems, as if Jesus Christ did not pay the price on the cross for them. The truth is that they do not know the God they serve. Trusting in the word of God means that you must be faithful, obedient and willing to do your will. Therefore, trusting in the word of God means that when God says to do it, you must do it.
