The Simple truth about life is the existence of the "Unseen Battle". It goes on in the mind and then manifests for good or for evil in the outside based on the outcome from the inside. I would want to relate this to the scriptures where Jesus was teaching that it is not what goes into a man that defiles him but what comes out of him. He further went on to say that out of the inside flow the issues of life.
I have searched the scriptures for a while now diligently trying to understand why things happen to us the way that they do and all I could come up with is the fact that life is all about thoughts and beliefs. It is impossible for anyone to function outside their belief.
I watch soccer and I have seen teams ultimately dominated by others, not because they are technically better but simply because in their mindset, they are not able to overcome that team. The losing team would go after other stronger teams and defeat them, but when it comes to that particular team they already believe that it is not possible. So it often is when it comes to the issues of life. Many times we read the natural obstacle against us and conclude in our mind that it is impossible to overcome this one, and so we have a "mind-set of failure'.
It will surprise you to know that all the devil has as a weapon is imagination. He drops thougths of doubt by whsipering in your ears and then he leaves you to remove yourself from the line of faith by your unbelief. If you need proof then go and read about the temptation and fall of man (Genesis 3-1-4). All that the serpent did was to whisper the words of doubt in the ears of EVe (Has God indeed said. you shall not eat of every tree of the garden?") and that's all it took for EVE to get into discussion with the Devil and from there, the entrance into her mind was opened and her heart was captured and the rest is history. While on the contrary in the temptation of Second Adam in the per in the person of Jesus Christ (Luke 4 vs 1-13). he withstood the devil by not giving room for imagination. Christ blocked off all imagination of evil by the word of God, particularly in verse 8.
Jesus answered and said unto Him, "Get behind me, Satan! For it is written , You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only you shall Serve.".

You are right, great battles are fought in the mind, where we must use the shield of faith to stop the enemy's darts. In the mind great storm is fought but Jesus can calm them down.

This is a beautiful post. It is very imperative to note this, that in our spiritual walk with God which will in turn manifest in our physical world. There is no doubt the mind is the center of all that happens to life and life happens to.
