What is Mystery? It can be defined as a hidden secret, something unknown or covered. Anything very obscure, that is beyond human knowledge to explain. It is a secret because it is not given or revealed. Every secret is open to God. He is the owner of all secrets.

The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Deutronomy 29 bs 29.

He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness,And light dwells with Him.

Daniel 2 vs 22.

Gos is the revealer of all secrets. There is nothing hidden from His sight, both light and darkness is the same with Him. Nothing can be seen unless it is revealed and whatever is hidden is a secret and the moment it is revealed it is no more a secret. Mysteries are secrets hidden in the word of God. Our Lord Jesus was fond of speaking to the people in parables and inside the parables is the secrets kept from the foundation of the world.

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

Everything in the Kingdom of God is clothes in mystery; things are not always the way they seem. The birth of Jesus Christ was a mystery that was beyond normal human understanding and wisdom. The mysteries are located in the word of God. The word of God can be divided into two basic dimensions which are;

The Logos (The Written Word)

The Logos is the written word of God, example is the Holy Scriptures written in letters. The ten commandments was written by the finger of God and given to Moses on Mount Horeb. The Bible is the perfect example of the written word; it contains the five books of Moses which is referred to as the "Torah" in Hebrew language on which the Jewish religion stands. The Bible also contains the writings of the prophets on which the books of the Old testament closed on. The second part begins with the Gospel of Jesus Christ written by the disciples Mathew, Mark, Luke and John. Then, the writing of the Apostles and the letters to the churches based on the teachings of Our Lord Jesus and closes with the Revelation of John the beloved. In summary, the Bible consists of 39 books of the old testament and the 27 books of the new testament. This is the logos which bears the hidden mysteries and through which they are revealed.
