Who is a Christian leader and What are his qualities??

There is no finer example for Christian leadership than our Lord Jesus Christ.
A good Christians should emulate the leadership quality of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ led the 12 Apostles and later went on to lead thousands of disciples.
He led them and set a path for Christian leaders to follow.

Jesus Christ in John 10:11

declared that he is the good Shepherd and a good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

What then are the qualities of a good Christian leader/Shepherd?

The shepherd is one who has several roles in regard to his sheep.
He leads, feeds, nurtures, comforts, corrects and protects.

The shepherd of the Lord’s flock leads by modeling godliness and righteousness in his own life and encouraging others to follow his example. Of course, our ultimate example—and the One we should follow—is Christ Himself.

The Apostle Paul understood this: “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ” ^{1 Corinthians 11:1.}

The Christian leader is one who follows Christ and inspires others to follow Him as well. Thus the chain being from Jesus to The Christian Leader to his followers.

The Christian leader is also a feeder and a nourisher of the sheep, and the ultimate “sheep food” is the Word of God. Just as the shepherd leads his flock to the most lush pasture so they will grow and flourish, so the Christian leader nourishes his flock with the only food which will produce strong, vibrant Christians. Thus, a good Christian leader imbibes the word of God into his followers and helps them abide by it.

The Christian leader also comforts the sheep, binding up their wounds and applying the balm of compassion and love. A christain leader should be tolerant, being able to listen to the problems of his followers and assist and console them to the best of his power. A good Shepherd should be supportive of the his followers.

The final role of the Christian leader is that of protector. The shepherd is to protect the sheep from predators and should be willing to give himself for his sheep the same way Jesus the Great shepherd died for us. A good leader must know how to protect his followers.

Conclusively, a good should follow the path Jesus has set out for christain leaders to lead his people in his ways.
