The Wife of A Noble Character - PROV 31

Hello beautiful people. Hope your day has been amazing. Today i'll like to talk about Women. I've been talking about wives and women generally for a while now. Blame me less, I'm a lady too. #smiles
Now, the bible talks about Women in the bible and the kind of things expected from a virtuous woman. I'll be splitting this into two parts so it won't be too lengthy for you too read.

Prov 31:10-20

Verse 10 says, A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. A ruby is a pink to blood-red colored gemstone, it is a variety of the mineral corundum. Ruby is one of the traditional cardinal gems, together with amethyst, sapphire, emerald, and diamond.

Other varieties of gem-quality corundum are called sapphires. Ruby is rarer and more expensive and also does not have the ability to wear and tear. The worth of a lady should be worth more than this. She should be priceless and rare with such a high value.

Verse 11 says, Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. There are times when husbands will not be around to be answerable to some issues, therefore his wife should be able to trust her with speaking rightly and standing in for him anywhere.

Verse 12 says, She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. This of course is self explanatory. A woman who always bring good things or repay good unto him deserves to be called a virtuous woman. A lady should always seek the interest of her man, and promote his honour and glory everywhere.

Verse 13 says, She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. This simply talks about a woman being very hardworking and happy always with what she does. This is the right attitude a noble woman should put to work.

Verse 14 says, She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. This to me means she should be able to go extra mile for her home to make sure they lack nothing.

Verse 15 says, She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. Just like in verse 13, a woman should be the first to wake up in the morning to make food for the home. Lets assume the children go with school buses and the pick up time is 7am, a woman will have to wake up, bathe for the children, cook for them, and also prepare them for school.
This should not be a burden, women should learn to enjoy this.

Verse 16 says, She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. Men of course should be the ones to provide for the home, but a woman should have something spectacular doing too so that she won't wait for her husband to give her money before they eat in the home. Planting a vineyard is simply, having a garden of fruits, vegetables, etc to keep the home going.

Verse 17 says, She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. This is an amazing quality of a virtuous woman. Be that woman.

Verse 18 says, She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. This simply means she's at alert always, even at night. She's not a deep sleeper.

Verse 19 says, In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. Talking about being hardworking, apart from the fact that she should wake up early, take care of her children and husband, have a garden and so on, she also should have a hand-work like bead making, basket weaving, etc. These are just examples though, all I'm trying to say here is that a lady should be able to multitask.

Verse 20 says, She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. Wow women are just wonderful beings with a blessed heart. A woman also should give to the needy, no matter how little. Givers never Lack!
