SELF MADE ~ Building Your Self Esteem

Hello beautiful people. Hope you all are doing great today. Now, talking about building ones self esteem, God said in Genesis 1:26 ~ "Lets make man in our own Image".

It might interest you to know that the picture of yourself controls your life. Self Image is very important and you've got be be very careful who shapes that image because it will definitely affect every area of your life either positively or negatively. Any reduction in the capacity of the you on the inside will lead to a reduction in your total capacity as a human.

Gen 3:1-7 says,

The serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals God had made. He asked the woman, "Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?" and then the woman too answered him that they may eat fruit from the trees in the garden except the one in the middle of the garden, she said further that if they touch it, they will die.

The serpent then tried to convince her that they will not die just that their eyes will be opened and will be like God, knowing good and evil. I just wonder what Image they were before after God had created them in his own image.

This woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, and so she ate it and even to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. After that, the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

You see what image and imagination can do? Eve hasn't even eaten the fruit before and she said it looked like it was good for food. The enemy contested the image that God has put there, because the serpent said to the woman that she will not die. Now, they ate the fruit because they wanted to be like God. Imagine that. The enemy was successful in brainwashing them. See how your self image will automatically shape your decision. They were like God already, because God said... "Let us make man in our own image."

Now, we all must be careful of who is shaping us because that person is shaping our destiny and future. The being that is really interested in our self-image is the devil. He moves around like a roaring lion seeking who he may devour. Why was Eve having a discussion with Satan? Who are we discussing with. Anything that hurts your self-image hurts your life.

Be careful what people say to you, don't depend on people to get an accurate information about yourself. Many of us are getting information from broken sources.

Matt 16:13-17, Jesus asked people what other people think about Him and "People" got it all wrong and that's because many people are listening to the wrong people. Its only the Holy Spirit that can tell us who we really are.

If you've been trying to fix yourself into existing mods, you're making a big mistake. No one in your family has ever been like you and no one will be like you. The true value of a human is not in the physical but in the spiritual, the main image.

Say to yourself...
I am unique!
I am who God says I am!
Amen!
