WHAT ARE WE DOING ON THIS EARTH,....AS MAN IS A VESSEL OF GOD?

1 CONRINTHIANS 10:31, 11:1-2KJV

"Whether therefore ye eat, drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."
"By ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
Now praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delievered them to you."

We remember in Genesis 1:26 that God created man in His own image to have dominion over all things He has created, and to also serve Him for Him mission and vission of creating mankind would be fully accomplished. God saw that among all the things He created, Human Being was created unique with God given "cognitive skill" (ability to think and reason). So two major ideas God used to create Human Being:

• To be overseer of all things He created on the Earth.
• To worship Him so that His name will be glorified of authority over all things.

The two mission and vission of God sense of purpose are very imperative in God's creation, because there nothing good that mankind can do to supperceed the above two things. If we will say we will honour His name with precious gold, diamond, platinium, animals or foodstuffs, all these are handy works of God, and being the creator of everything, He can authorize some these things to come.

Human beings are vessels, which means that we are like a container such as "a pot" that is weaved for its intended purpose. It is weaved purposely to serve, but not the weaver to serve it. If the pot fails to honour it purpose of being weaved, it becomes nothing and it can be thrown away because it could not serve its purpose.

The first verse of the 1 Corinthians 10:31 that we read says that, in everything that we do, we should do to glorify God: when we eat, drink, play, dance, sing or read, we should do to glorify God. Even when we get into trouble or lose our child or relative, we should glorify God.

Paul inform us that as followers of Jesus we have been created onto this Earth to glorify God in all manners. God's glory is the manifestation of all that He is in His unsurpassed, stunning perfection. It is His amazing love, mercy and grace. His glory is seen in His in His truth, justice, wisdom, and power.

Mostly, mankind glorify God when he she sees something good in his or her life. During occasions like birthdays and Christmas that we see God's glory, but we should not forget that the Bible says that in all things we should thank him. To glorify Him means that we have the high privilege of showing Him off in a world that is totally unaware of what He is really like. Acts of mercy to undeserving, grace to the needy, forgiveness to an offender, living wisely according to His will-all gives glorious visibility to the character and quality of our God. In the heaven, it is told that everyday the angels have been glorifying God saying: Holy!, Holy!, Holy!!! Meaning that our God needs glorification in all the time.

Many people have been stealing God's glory in times when God saves us from certain death or bad spirit. Since God is a spirit that we cannot see Him physically, some people such as Prophets always receive this glory when they perform miracles. But it should not be so. It is our duty to let others see what He is really like- able to do all things. And when they like what they see, let's be sure to let them know who taught us to live like that. It is not good practices to steal God's glory! Therefore we must learn how to glorify God.
