DECAY FOR GLORY

JOHN 12:24KJV

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit."

We are like seeds that are sown into the soil for them to germinate and multiply.

Unless the seeds decay, they will not germinate and mature and bear fruits with many seeds.

We have to decay for glory, otherwise, life will be meaningless for stay on this earth.

"To decay or die," in its literally meaning means: "to rot or to die."

But for the benefit of our study today means: to suffer, to persevere, to toil, to make effort, to persist, to have patience or to keep asking either physically or spiritually to get material things or heavenly things.

In life there are so many things we need to decay in them before you will be moved to glory:

As Parishioners we need to decay for freedom and to also get rewards from our effort. Waking up at sometimes midnight to write post means that we are decaying our body. We are sacrificing our time and energy for gaining something valuable whenever we make posts, and it pains to that right? At times you may not get any reward for making posts, but you keep grinding, you keep that pressure(decaying). Some Parishioners could make two to three posts in order to increase their reputation. When these efforts with patience are maintained to the end, then those Parishioners will move from decay to glory-which is success.

As Christians we have to decay in the cause of following Christ or worshiping God with all our heart and might, so that we will get the portion of heaven. As Christians before you will be crown as victorious for the Kingdom of heaven is full of twist and turns, is a fight, is a race, is full commitment and dedication, is full of faith. Apostle Paul affirmed this in 2 Timothy, that to be crowned as righteous is full of life challenges(decays).

2 TIMOTHY 4:7-8KJV

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."

We have to take up Jesus' cross as Christians and he tells us that cross is heavy that is not easy to carry(decay). It is full of suffering and anxierties, but whoever is tormented or lose something because of him and the gospel, will be rewarded(move from decay to glory).

MARK 8:35KJV

"For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it."

Decay as an entrepreneur, sole proprietorship or joint business partnership. You have to decay in your business before you can gain. You cannot sleep and expect manner to fall from heaven. Everything is suffer to gain, so hardworking yields success. The business can expand and maximise if good planning are pit in place, though there are unforseen circumstances which can trigger in.

As a farmer how long will you sleep?... The land is ready to be tilt, the bumper rainfall is yet to pour like cats and dogs, yet you feel reluctant to go to farm. The good farmers will go to farm and meet you in the house still sleeping. The harvest time will come, but you do not have any produce store for your household. Always you complain of economic hardship, forgetting that you have caused yourself more harm than good. The book of Proverbs advises us to desist from the syndrome of laziness, since it can lead us into poverty.

PROVERBS 6:9-11KJV

"How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep Yet, a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man."

The life story of most real rich men began with suffering. If you happen to approach them one by one for them to tell you how they started, before they got to that stage. Some started from decay to glory, thus from poor to rich, from suffering to gain, from low class to middle class, from bad to good, from tears to joy, from unknown to known, from nowhere to somewhere.

As Parishioners and Christians of Steemchurch we are more than a conquerer, so let us all decay from decay to glory. In decaying time suffering may come, rejection may come, we may be discouraged, hopeless may come, but do not forget that we are not alone, those who are with us are more than what we imagine found on this earth.

May we have patience as we transition from decay to glory in life.
