Where Are You?
Genesis 3:7-9 (NIV):
7 - Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
8 - Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
9 - But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”
We are in a dispensation where the need for a saviour in every aspect of our lives is at an all time high. You only need to look at the education sector, politics, the hospitals, our economy as a whole and even with the kind of leadership we have, to fully understand.
You are where you are for a reason and for a purpose. God is location biased. He commanded the widow woman to feed Elijah and she got her reward. He commanded a raven; a very greedy bird to feed Elijah also. If you are not where you are supposed to be, if you are not rightly positioned, there are things; blessings that you will miss. Regardless of Elijah's anointing, if he wasn't at the brook that God wants him to be, he would not be fed by the raven. If he stayed at the brook and not move ahead, he would go hungry also.
You only ask a question where are you, when you notice that a person is missing in his or her place. You only ask a question of where are you also, when the person is not performing up to optimal level you expected, that is, when the persom has failed in his role or duty. You wondered where the person was for that to happen under his or her watch.
If things are not working so well in this world, particularly our country, then it shows some of us are not at our duty post; some of us are missing in our place, more like missing in action. We are not doing what ia expected of us and we have forgotten a lot rest on us and not just the government. Imagine if the people in government do what they are supposed to do as well, then things would go down well. It all starts with you.
