WHY SHOULD WE FOLLOW JESUS?

All the four gospel writers wrote about what Jesus said concerning "following".

So much stress in our society , doctors are busy , publishers are busy printing books that tells us how to overcome stress.Matthew 13:22
Would it be possible that if every believer would follow Jesus that believer would be free of stress?
Combine some words Jesus said about following Him:

If anyone chooses to follow me,he must renounce ,disown and deny his wants ,desires ,hope and dreams and his choice,bear the same and disgrace of a criminal convicted for crimes against the state and sentenced to death by crucifixion and go where I go.
They will give us an idea of His combined words on this subject.

We are discussing two point sub-topic here....Namely

• WE ARE IN A WAR
• ANOTHER REASON TO FOLLOW JESUS IS TO SAVE YOUR LIFE.

1.Paul declares that we do not war after the flesh.Even our closest relatives could be our enemies... Matthew 10:35-36

ANOTHER REASON TO FOLLOW JESUS IS TO SAVE YOUR LIFE.

Whoever wishes to deliver his wants,desires from distress loss them.
He who has developed a fondness ,a caring ,a genuine concern for his own thoughts,desires and wants...shall lose them.John 12:25
But whoever loses or decisively rejects and detects his own thoughts , desires,wants , attitudes,in this world ,shall keep it to life eternal and deliver them from distress.

Deciding not to follow Jesus.

Gaining the whole world by destroying , ruining your inner man ,profits nothing.
Deciding to follow Jesus

We become the servant of Jesus.
And when we follow Jesus ,serve Him ,the father will honor us.He will evaluate us properly as the servant of Jesus.
