A blissful Sunday to you my fellow stemians, it's your brother your friend @odiaprecious, am here again to share with you another knowledge from the bible which I took some months to study.
I believe after the topic of today you'll learn a lot from it, and God will richly bless you.
Today I will be talking about

THE GREAT MOUNT MORIAH

One story i have always love and poundered through so many times is the story of Abraham and Isaac.
And there's this question that has always been, which was why did our Lord God chose a specific mountain for the sacrifice of Isaac. And it was a journey that took the ederly man three days to arrive to the mountain. You would suggest that it should have been a place close to Beersheba where the family has lived.
How special this mountian must have been.
I eagerly searched the scripture on my quiet time to see if there was a confirmation for this, and this was what i saw.
King Solomon also built the temple on that same

mount Moriah

over the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

I also discovered that the mountian has so many several names given to it. As we all know that Abraham named the mountian

JEHOVAH-JIREH

which means, "in the mount of the Lord it shall be seen".
(Gen. 22:14)

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.

This name given to the moutain has always been a question for us all. Was Abraham telling us that that the Lord (JEHOVAH) will come to this moutnain?
The rebuliding of the temple is one of the event that is to preceed the second coming of Jesus christ and we found this translation very meaningful.
Isa. 2:3

And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

So definitely the Visiting of the Lord to his temple in Jerusalem at the time of his Second Coming should be a way of fulfilling the significance of Jehovah-jireh.

More significantly, the crucification of ou Lord Jesus Christ on this same mountain was witness by the new Testament.
