How to be a friend of God!
Dear friends of @steemchurch, the best thing we can do for ourselves, for our neighbor and for God is to trust in God, if we want to be a friend of God, we must consider that we all have different knowledge and ideas about God.
To be a friend of God we must constantly develop in the knowledge of God, that's why it would be the spiritual foundation of life. If knowledge does not develop, then the spiritual life vanishes, and people turn away from God.
It is necessary, from the attitude of the infant-consumer towards God, to grow in maturity. God's demands increase as spiritual growth grows.
If you think that God is a banker or a "superman", this is God's focus for the consumer. We have needs, and God must fill them. People who have a consumer attitude towards God always want to get something. And when they do not get what they want, their relationship with God is destroyed.
It is important to have a real and complete picture of God. Do not try to limit God, accept him as He is. God is the Creator and the Ruler, the Lord, and we are His helpers. God wants our relationship with Him to bring joy.
Friends have close relationships and common interests. True friendship is verified, most of the times in difficulties. Friends: people with whom it is good and interesting, easy to communicate. I always want to go with my friends. Up to a point, our friends are like us. In difficult times, a true friend will never leave.
God tells us that He will never betray, abandon, or leave. Relations with God should not be tedious, difficult and difficult. The biggest problem in a relationship is doubt. The devil in Genesis 3 made Eve doubt that God was good, do not doubt God. Relationships must be built and protected. (Hebrews 5: 13-14 teaches your feelings to discern between good and evil)
Friendship implies a sacrificial relationship. Jesus gave his life for us. A relationship with him meets our needs. We need to see Jesus as our friend. Our relationship with Him is built on the basis of love and obedience.
Open your heart to God, there are no secrets of friends. Jesus calls us not to business and society, but to friendship. Work hard to build relationships with Jesus.
Friendship expands the range of actions. When God is your friend, you can ask and call at any time. In the New Testament, God invites us to be his friends.
Spiritual discipline is needed to build friendships.
It also requires dedication, time, effort. This is a sacrifice, you have to "pay the price". (1 Corinthians 9: 24-27)
